In The Arms of Morpheus is poetry written in the form of an ancient Greek play. Its two main characters, Ioannis and Iris, are found in a dream world created and sustained by Morpheus, the Greek god of dreams. They are aided along the way by spirits of many types that typically inhabit Grecian Mythology. This work was first created and copyrighted by Johnny in 1969. He used the penname George Eliot Rambeau throughout his poetic years. In addition to the 'play' there is a section at the end of the book where Johnny includes some of his more memorable 'deep in thought' other poems of that era. |
